The unsung hero of travel photography

By Francisco Guerrero

The hotel bed.   That white (though sometimes blue, green, red, stripped) cloud of rest that awaits the roadwarrrior photographer.   They come in all shapes and sizes, the branded five star hotel dream bed, the off the beaten path bed,   the insect infested bed, a piece of old foam and blanket that shouldn´t even be called a bed.  It used to be where you could lay out the polaroids of the day and judge how the shoot is going.   Now you just hope that there is a plug near by so you plug your laptop, lay down and  wonder if you downloaded all your media cards.

So here is a selection of beds from my travels in May.   I´ll start asking my editorial clients to add them to the credits…Photography: Francisco Guerrero,  Inspiration:  Bed in room 506, semi-firm with anti-alergy pillows.
