So this is the new RB Studio web site! We’ve switched from a commercial presentation format to a blog format in the hopes of providing ourselves with a platform for personal expression and, with your help and comments, a platform for artistic growth as a photographers. For those of you have not made it to the about page, we thought it might be worthwhile to reiterate here the “who is RedBench Studio” blurb.
As many of you know, RedBench Studio began as a shared photography studio and work space in Barcelona, Spain. Over time it became our production house, our image, our home and our identity. An identity that began to have it’s own existence and interaction within each of us. Now we find ourselves searching for this identity with the desire to share it with the rest of the world. Even though it’s personal and individual, our collective identity reflects time spent together. Through periodic publication of personal and unedited works, we hope to present a more personal vision of each of us in order to share knowledge, techniques and ideas, but most of all, to create an open space for artistic debate and criticism.
And that’s where you come in. We want your opinions and thoughts about the work we present here. There is no commercial work allowed on this page, for that go to the individual websites of each photographer, but rather the vision and perspective developed by each in the course of creating that commercial work. Whether it be a few shots snapped on the side during an assignment or a more in depth concept that we’ve been burning to get down on film (or pixels as it would be), we’re putting it here first in the hopes that you will give us your opinion. We hope to publish often. Each of us once a week is our goal. And if you subscribe you will get straight into to your email box the lastest offering up for your criticism. So feel free to let loose, tell us what you think, and don’t dare hold back.
