This series of images actually started out as a test to see if my old Graflex Press camera was still working after many months gathering dust at the studio. It quickly turned into a impromptu portrait session over a number of weeks with unaware visitors to the studio, mostly friends and members of the crew, sitting for the me.
Other than the obvious quality that a large negative provides, the formality of the sitting and the slow pace the camera itself demands gives a fantastic air to the subjects.
