So this is the new RB Studio web site!  We’ve switched from a commercial presentation format to a blog format in the hopes of providing ourselves with a platform for personal expression and, with your help and comments, a platform for artistic growth as a photographers.

You are so beautiful

The Tasting

Could this be what Cartier-Bresson meant by the decisive moment?

Or maybe fluffly.  All  I can say is I found it interesting.  I will be posting a series of abstracts, of which this is the first,  photographed a few  months ago but that until now have never escaped the “will get to it” folder.  They are all very simple images, maybe not even compositionaly interesting, but certainly capture what I …continue

Will you sit for me?

This series of images actually started out as a test to see if my old Graflex Press camera was still working after many months gathering dust at the studio.  It quickly turned into a impromptu portrait session over a number of weeks with unaware visitors to the studio, mostly friends and members of the crew, sitting for the me.
Other than the obvious quality …continue

The Hands Have It

This is the same image that I find I repeat constantly during travel stories.   Its that cliché that an images of hands can be very expressive.  Throw into it some local elements and it becomes a good way to evoke a destination, without really showing much.  Could be an interesting book project…
